Surfing Pikachu PSA 10 and Flying Pikachu PSA 10 cards both come from one Japanese set, the 25th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION (S8a), with both V and VMAX prints. That gives four cards to sort out — Surfing Pikachu V 021/028, Surfing Pikachu VMAX 022/028, Flying Pikachu V 023/028 and Flying Pikachu VMAX 024/028.
The card numbers distinguish the V and VMAX listings: 021/028 and 023/028 carry RR, while 022/028 and 024/028 carry RRR. The Japanese listing names also distinguish なみのりピカチュウ from そらをとぶピカチュウ. SNKRDUNK asking prices for these prints are dated September 30, 2026.
USD figures convert at ¥154/USD, approximate. SNKRDUNK numbers are asking prices, not sales.
- Four S8a prints carry the Surfing and Flying Pikachu artwork: V at RR (021/028 and 023/028) and VMAX at RRR (022/028 and 024/028).
- All four are offered from Tokyo as PSA 10 back orders, for example Surfing Pikachu V at ¥11,108 (~$72); the physical PSA 10 listings for the two V cards are sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order.
- The lowest PSA 10 asks on SNKRDUNK on September 30, 2026 run from ¥9,499 (Flying Pikachu V) to ¥15,680 (Surfing Pikachu V).
- The set behind them, S8a, has a full S8a card list.
- Surfing Pikachu VMAX is 022/028; Flying Pikachu VMAX is 024/028, both RRR.
- SNKRDUNK PSA 10 asks are ¥15,680 for Surfing V and ¥9,499 for Flying V.
- The Golden Box Pikachu V uses S8a-G 005/015.

Surfing Pikachu PSA 10: V 021/028 and VMAX 022/028
The Surfing Pikachu listings use the Japanese name なみのりピカチュウ. The V appears at 021/028 and the VMAX at 022/028 in the 25th Anniversary Collection. Their listing titles carry different rarity codes, RR and RRR, even though they share the Surfing Pikachu name.
Surfing Pikachu V — S8a 021/028, RR
The V listing carries RR, meaning Double Rare. The PSA 10 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥11,108 (~$72) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. SNKRDUNK lists a lowest ask of ¥1,000 (~$6) on the card’s product row and ¥15,680 (~$102) for the lowest PSA 10 listing visible, both dated September 30, 2026.
Surfing Pikachu VMAX — S8a 022/028, RRR
The VMAX is the Triple Rare of the pair and follows the V in the number order. It is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥10,700 (~$69) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. On SNKRDUNK the card’s product row shows a lowest ask of ¥1,300 (~$8) and the lowest PSA 10 ask visible is ¥11,000 (~$71), dated September 30, 2026. It is the only one of the four where the PSA 10 ask sits below the ask for the matching V.
Flying Pikachu PSA 10: V 023/028 and VMAX 024/028
Flying Pikachu is the other half of the pair. SNKRDUNK prints the Japanese name with a を (そらをとぶピカチュウ), so search with that spelling if you compare listings there.
Flying Pikachu V — S8a 023/028, RR
The Flying Pikachu V listing carries RR, meaning Double Rare, with the set code S8a and number 023/028. The PSA 10 is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥8,827 (~$57) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. On SNKRDUNK the lowest ask on the product row is ¥1,300 (~$8) and the lowest PSA 10 ask visible is ¥9,499 (~$62), dated September 30, 2026.

The VMAX closes the four-card run at number 024. It is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥11,012 (~$72) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. SNKRDUNK shows a product-row lowest ask of ¥1,700 (~$11) and a lowest PSA 10 ask of ¥12,999 (~$84) as visible on September 30, 2026.
Reading the SNKRDUNK Asks Next to Our Listings
SNKRDUNK is a Japanese marketplace where sellers post asking prices. Each card has one product row that prints a lowest ask without stating the condition, and separate PSA 10 listings underneath. The table keeps both, dated September 30, 2026. The SNKRDUNK columns show asking prices; store prices are linked separately.
| Card | Product-row lowest ask | Lowest PSA 10 ask visible | Our PSA 10 back order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surfing Pikachu V 021/028 | ¥1,000 (~$6) | ¥15,680 (~$102) | ¥11,108 (~$72) |
| Surfing Pikachu VMAX 022/028 | ¥1,300 (~$8) | ¥11,000 (~$71) | ¥10,700 (~$69) |
| Flying Pikachu V 023/028 | ¥1,300 (~$8) | ¥9,499 (~$62) | ¥8,827 (~$57) |
| Flying Pikachu VMAX 024/028 | ¥1,700 (~$11) | ¥12,999 (~$84) | ¥11,012 (~$72) |
The product-row asks run from ¥1,000 to ¥1,700, while the PSA 10 asks run from ¥9,499 to ¥15,680. PSA 10 designates Gem Mint condition per PSA’s published grading standards. The VMAX cards do not sit above the V cards in a fixed order: on September 30, 2026 the Surfing VMAX PSA 10 ask is below its V, while the Flying VMAX ask is above its V.
The Set They Came From: S8a in Numbers
The 25th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION product family includes the S8a booster box, a Special Set and the Golden Box. Our S8a best-cards guide and Celebrations ETB comparison provide related reading. The S8a card list is the set’s listing page.

How an Order for a PSA 10 Back Order Works
A PSA 10 back order is a listing for a card we source to order. You place the order on the product page, pay by PayPal or Wise bank transfer, and the card ships from Tokyo by FedEx once it is sourced. The product page shows the current terms, and the guide to buying Japanese Pokemon cards from Japan walks through the checkout.
Before you order, match three things on the listing to the card you want: the set code (S8a), the card number as printed (for example 021/028) and the rarity (RR for the V cards, RRR for the VMAX cards). Then compare the SNKRDUNK ask for the same number in the table above. The listing title carries all three, so a wrong-number listing is easy to spot.
