Suicune V in the Pokemon Start Deck 100 is the card スイクンV numbered SI 092/414, a 210 HP Basic Pokémon V illustrated by Ayaka Yoshida in the 2021 Japanese starter-deck line. The official card database prints the same name, HP, Ability and attack on two other Suicune V entries — S7D 001/067 and S12a 024/172 — so the number in the corner is what tells you which product the card came from.
This guide covers the SI card field by field, explains what the Start Deck 100 product is, compares the card with S12a 024/172, and then explains why our store links the newer MEGA Start Deck 100 instead of the 2021 deck. Card facts come from the official database on pokemon-card.com and the official product pages (checked October 29, 2026); our own prices are the ones shown on that date and convert at ¥154/USD, approximate.
- Suicune V SI 092/414 prints HP 210, the Ability しゅんそく (draw 1 card, rendering) and the attack ブリザードロンド (rendering), with Ayaka Yoshida as illustrator.
- The official Start Deck 100 page names deck No.100 as holding Entei V, Suicune V and Raikou V; the 2021 deck had an official price of ¥790 and was random across 100 kinds.
- The newer MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection is a different product with different numbering (742, not 414); it is currently listed at ¥1,097 (~$7).
What Suicune V SI 092/414 Is
The database page for スイクンV with the number 092/414 prints the fields below. The set code SI is the code of the Sword & Shield Start Deck 100 product.
| Field | Official database value |
|---|---|
| Name | スイクンV |
| Number and set | 092/414, set code SI (Start Deck 100) |
| Illustrator | Ayaka Yoshida |
| Stage | たね (Basic) |
| HP | 210 |
| Weakness, Resistance, Retreat | Weakness ×2 (type shown as an icon), Resistance none; retreat cost shown as icons, not stated here |
| Rule box | Pokémon V: when it is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 2 Prize cards (rendering) |
| Database card ID | 40362 |
The database does not print a rarity letter for this entry, and the number 092 sits inside the base range of 001–414, so it is one of the regular numbers, not one of the higher secret numbers such as 415/414. The Pokédex number and category line is not carried on the V cards in the database, so none is stated here.

The Card Text, Rendered
The English below is our rendering of the official Japanese text, not an official translation.
| Name (as printed) | Type | Rendering of the effect |
|---|---|---|
| しゅんそく | Ability | “Swiftness” (rendering): once during your turn, if this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, you may draw 1 card from your deck. |
| ブリザードロンド20+ | Attack | “Blizzard Round” (rendering): 20 damage, plus 20 more for each Benched Pokémon on both sides. |
Two plain-language observations follow from that text. The Ability is a once-per-turn draw that works only while Suicune V is in the Active Spot, so it is tied to where the card sits. The attack’s damage is a base of 20 that grows with the number of Benched Pokémon on both sides, so the total depends on how many Pokémon both players have on the Bench. The energy symbols are not carried in the database text we hold, so we do not state the attack cost, the weakness type or the retreat cost; read those from the card image.
The 2021 Start Deck 100 Product
The SI code belongs to ポケモンカードゲーム ソード&シールド スタートデッキ100. The official product page gives these facts.
| Item | Official information |
|---|---|
| Release | Friday, December 17, 2021 |
| Official price | ¥790 |
| Contents per product | One 60-card deck |
| Accessory | One sheet of damage counters and markers only |
| Kinds | 100 decks, numbered No.001–100 |
| Which deck you get | Random: the page frames it as the deck you receive being left to chance |
| In every deck | Hyper Ball |
| Card numbering in the database | Base numbers 001–414 |
Because the decks are random, you cannot choose a deck by its Pokémon at the shelf. That is the central fact for anyone searching for Suicune V in this product: the official page does not let a buyer select a deck, so a specific card is a matter of which deck is in the pack you receive. The base numbers run 001–414; higher numbers such as 415/414 sit beyond that range and are separate secret-numbered cards.
For the full story of the 2025 follow-up and how the lineup grew, our Start Deck 100 Battle Collection guide covers the line in depth.
Where Suicune V Sits in the 100 Decks
The official page for the 2021 product lists examples from the 100 decks. Among them is the final one: deck No.100 contains Entei V, Suicune V and Raikou V — the three legendary beasts together in one deck. That is the one deck the official page names in connection with Suicune V.
What the sources do not say is whether Suicune V also appears in any other deck, how the 100 decks are distributed across the print run, or how many copies of deck No.100 were made. We therefore do not state which deck a particular SI 092/414 came from beyond that official mention, and we make no statement about how likely any deck is to appear in a pack.
The same page names a few other decks as examples — No.001 has Rayquaza VMAX, for instance. The beast deck is the one this guide follows because it holds Suicune V.
SI 092/414 vs S12a 024/172
The Suicune V printed in the 2021 deck is not unique to it. The database lists the same name, HP, Ability, attack and illustrator under at least two other numbers.
| Set code | Illustrator | HP | Card text | Database card ID | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 092/414 | SI (Start Deck 100) | Ayaka Yoshida | 210 | Swiftness / Blizzard Round (rendering) | 40362 |
| 024/172 | S12a (VSTAR Universe) | Ayaka Yoshida | 210 | Same | 42285 |
| 001/067 | S7D | Ayaka Yoshida | 210 | Same | 39670 |
Three details separate the SI card from the others. First, the denominator: 414 is the Start Deck 100 numbering, 172 is the VSTAR Universe set and 67 is the S7D set. Second, the set code in the same corner. Third, the product it came out of: a ¥790 random 60-card deck versus a high-class pack. The VSTAR Universe set released on Friday, December 2, 2022, according to our legendary beasts guide; the SI deck released on Friday, December 17, 2021.

There is also a higher-numbered Suicune V in S12a, 215/172, credited to Atsushi Furusawa, which is a different print with a different illustrator. It appears on our side as a PSA 10 back order: offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥18,620 (~$121) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. Our Suicune Japanese cards guide compares every Suicune V and our VSTAR Universe listing page carries that set’s list. For an illustrator-by-illustrator view across the four Yoshida prints, see our Ayaka Yoshida Suicune V guide.
Using Suicune V in a 60-Card Deck
Because the SI Suicune V comes in a ready-made deck, it is worth recalling the official deck-building rules from pokemon-card.com that the deck follows.
- A deck is 60 cards, one deck per player.
- You may include up to 4 cards with the same name; Basic Energy cards are the exception and can appear in any number.
- A deck must contain at least one Basic Pokémon. Suicune V is Basic (たね), so it can start the game on its own.
- Win by taking all 6 Prize cards, and note that a Pokémon V that is Knocked Out gives the opponent 2 Prize cards (rendering of the printed rule).
The official beginner ratio is about 15 Pokémon, 30 Trainers and 15 Energy. We cite it as the official starting suggestion only; we make no claim about how any particular deck performs. For a beginner walkthrough, see our how to play guide.
Fan concept art can show how the Aurora Pokémon is imagined, but it is not part of the product.

The MEGA Start Deck 100 We List
Our store does not list the 2021 SI deck. What we list is its 2025 successor, MEGA スタートデッキ100 バトルコレクション, which the database codes MC.
| Item | Start Deck 100 (SI) | MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (MC) |
|---|---|---|
| Release | Friday, December 17, 2021 | Friday, December 19, 2025 |
| Official price | ¥790 | ¥891 |
| Base numbering | 001–414 | 001–742 |
| Kinds | 100 decks | “All 100 kinds” on the official page |
| Random? | Yes | Yes |
| Pokémon ex | Not stated in our sources | The page states every deck holds two or more Pokémon ex |
| Suicune in the database | Suicune V 092/414 | Suicune MC 174/742 (not a V) |
The MC entry is the plain Basic Suicune credited to Kuroimori with HP 120, not the 210 HP Suicune V. In other words, buying the MEGA deck is not a way to obtain SI 092/414. The MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection is currently listed at ¥1,097 (~$7), and a separate White Box listing is at ¥38,570 (~$250). Our comparison of the two is in the regular vs white box guide.

What the Sources Do Not Say
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Who illustrated SI 092/414? | Ayaka Yoshida, per the database. |
| What is its rarity letter? | Not printed by the database; we name none. |
| Which decks contain Suicune V? | The official page names deck No.100; other decks are not stated. |
| How many copies exist? | Not stated; print runs are not in the database. |
| Does a code card come with the deck? | No Japanese product page lists one; we treat it as not listed. |
| Is SI 092/414 inside the MEGA deck? | No; the MEGA product has its own numbering and its own Suicune, MC 174/742. |
To check a copy you hold, read four things in order. The number in the corner should read 092/414 and the set code SI; a 024/172 with S12a is the VSTAR Universe card, and a 001/067 with S7D is the earlier set. The illustrator credit should read Ayaka Yoshida on all three, so it will not help you separate them. The HP should read 210 on all three. Finally, the product it was pulled from matters only to you: the database does not record whether a copy came from deck No.100 or from another deck, so the corner number is the whole identification. If the number reads 417/414 or any figure above 414, you are holding a different, secret-numbered card.
Nothing in this guide gives a market value for SI 092/414 or says how it compares to other cards. We keep to the facts the database and the product pages state.

The 「オーロラの波紋」 Trademark Report
On October 29, 2026 premium.gamepedia.jp and PokeGuardian reported a Japanese trademark filing for 「オーロラの波紋」, which collectors read as a possible Suicune set; nothing is announced. Frequently Asked Questions
What is Suicune V SI 092/414?
It is the Suicune V printed in the 2021 Start Deck 100 line: a 210 HP Basic Pokémon V illustrated by Ayaka Yoshida, with the Ability しゅんそく (draw 1 card, rendering) and the attack ブリザードロンド (rendering).
Which Start Deck 100 deck has Suicune V?
The official product page names deck No.100 as holding Entei V, Suicune V and Raikou V. Whether any other deck holds Suicune V is not stated in our sources.
Is Suicune V SI 092/414 the same card as S12a 024/172?

Is Suicune V SI 092/414 inside the MEGA Start Deck 100 you sell?
No. MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection has its own numbering, 001 to 742, and its database Suicune is the plain Suicune MC 174/742, not a V. The product is currently listed at ¥1,097 (~$7).
