Start Deck 100 secret cards are the numbers printed above the 414 base count in スタートデッキ100 (set code SI), the random-deck product Pokémon released in Japan on Friday, December 17, 2021 at an official price of ¥790. The official card database confirms two of them by name and number: ピカチュウV 415/414 and ザマゼンタV 417/414. A fan wiki, PokéWiki, reports eight secret numbers in total, 415 to 422, and that is the list this guide works from, with every row labelled by who confirms it.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. USD figures convert at ¥154/USD, approximate. Rarity letters are not printed in the official database, so this guide does not assign any; the numbers, names and illustrator credits are the facts.
- The official database confirms two secret numbers: ピカチュウV 415/414 (credited to 5ban Graphics) and ザマゼンタV 417/414. The full 415–422 list is reported by PokéWiki, not by the official site.
- The eight reported numbers are 415 ピカチュウV, 416 グランブルV, 417 ザマゼンタV, 418 (a Supporter, name unmapped), 419 マリィのプライド, 420 ガラルフリーザーV, 421 ガラルサンダーV and 422 ガラルファイヤーV.
- Pikachu V 415/414 is currently listed as a physical PSA 10 at ¥40,588 (~$264) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order).
- The deck itself is random: one of 100 numbered decks, 001 to 100. The official page does not describe how the secret numbers are distributed.
What Start Deck 100 (SI) Is
スタートデッキ100 is the official name of the 2021 Sword & Shield-era starter product. The official product page at pokemon-card.com describes a single 60-card deck in each pack, chosen by chance from 100 numbered decks, with the wording 「デッキナンバー001から100の100種類」. The product contains a sheet of damage counters and markers and nothing else; there is no coin and no playmat listed.
| Detail | スタートデッキ100 (SI) |
|---|---|
| Release | Friday, December 17, 2021 (official product page) |
| Official price | ¥790 |
| Contents | One 60-card deck and one sheet of damage counters and markers |
| Kinds | 100 decks, No.001–100; which one you get is chance |
| Card in every deck | ハイパーボール |
| New cards named by the product page | キングラーV/VMAX, ザマゼンタV, マリィのプライド |
| Base card numbering | 001–414 in the official database |
| Example decks | No.001 レックウザVMAX; No.048 ピカチュウV and エースバーンV; No.100 エンテイV, スイクンV and ライコウV |
The deck-number mechanic matters for the secret cards because the numbers 415 and above are outside the 001–414 run that the decks are built from. The official page describes the 100 decks; it does not describe the secret numbers at all. Anything a reader hears about how a secret number reaches a buyer is therefore community knowledge, and this guide does not repeat it.
The product page also lists three names that debuted in this release: キングラーV/VMAX, ザマゼンタV and マリィのプライド. Two of those, ザマゼンタV and マリィのプライド, appear again in the secret numbers below, which is why the page is worth reading alongside the list. Our wider Start Deck 100 Battle Collection guide covers the 2025 successor, and the legendary beasts guide covers the No.100 deck with Entei V, Suicune V and Raikou V.
The 415–422 List: Who Confirms What
The table below is the whole list. The “Official database” column says whether pokemon-card.com shows the number. The “Our listing” column names the number only where one of our PSA 10 listing names prints it.
| Number | Card | Official database | Reported by PokéWiki | Our listing name prints the number |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 415/414 | ピカチュウV | Yes (id 41011, 5ban Graphics) | Yes | Yes |
| 416/414 | グランブルV | Not confirmed | Yes | No |
| 417/414 | ザマゼンタV | Yes (id 41013) | Yes | No |
| 418/414 | A Supporter; the German page names it Barry | Not confirmed | Yes | No |
| 419/414 | マリィのプライド | Not confirmed | Yes | Yes |
| 420/414 | ガラルフリーザーV | Not confirmed | Yes | No |
| 421/414 | ガラルサンダーV | Not confirmed | Yes | Yes |
| 422/414 | ガラルファイヤーV | Not confirmed | Yes | Yes |
Two points deserve emphasis. First, the card names in the PokéWiki list are copied here exactly, but the Japanese name of 418 is not given in our sources, which is why that row has no Japanese name. Second, “not confirmed” in the official column is a statement about our sources, not about the database: it means we have not verified that number there, not that the card is missing.
PokéWiki also reports that the set totals 422 cards and that a rare 101st deck exists. The official product page speaks only of 100 decks, so both statements stay labelled as reported.
Pikachu V 415/414
ピカチュウV 415/414 is the best-documented secret number. The official database entry has the id 41011 and credits the illustrator 5ban Graphics.

The name is shared with a base-numbered card: deck No.048 on the product page pairs ピカチュウV with エースバーンV. Whether the artwork on the secret number differs from the base card is not established in our sources, so the safe identification is the printed number. A card that reads 415/414 is the secret; a ピカチュウV with a number inside 001–414 is a different print.
We currently list a physical PSA 10 of this card at ¥40,588 (~$264) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), named “PSA10 Pikachu V[SI 415/414](Start Deck 100)”. A PSA 10 back order for the same card is offered at the same ¥40,588 (~$264) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms.

Zamazenta V 417/414
ザマゼンタV 417/414 is the second number the official database confirms, with the id 41013. The database record we hold gives the number and the id but not an illustrator credit for this entry, so none is stated here.

ザマゼンタV is one of the three names the product page lists as new in this release, next to キングラーV/VMAX and マリィのプライド. Of those three names, ザマゼンタV is the one whose secret number (417/414) the official database entries in our sources confirm. We do not currently have a listing whose name prints SI 417/414; sourcing requests for it go through Quick Order.
Galarian Zapdos V, Galarian Moltres V and Marnie’s Pride
Three more numbers appear in our listing names, which print the set code and number in brackets. They agree with the PokéWiki list: 419 is マリィのプライド, 421 is ガラルサンダーV and 422 is ガラルファイヤーV. For these three the official database is not our source; the number-to-card pairing comes from our own listing names and from PokéWiki.
| Number | Our listing name | Our price |
|---|---|---|
| 419/414 | PSA10 Marnie’s Pride [SI 419/414] (Start Deck 100) | PSA 10 back order at ¥36,380 (~$236) |
| 421/414 | PSA10 Galarian Zapdos V [SI 421/414] (Start Deck 100) | PSA 10 back order at ¥13,500 (~$88) |
| 422/414 | PSA10 Galarian Moltres V [SI 422/414] (Start Deck 100) | PSA 10 back order at ¥12,000 (~$78) |
Each of these is offered as a PSA 10 back order — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. The listing for 420, the third bird (ガラルフリーザーV), is not in our current data.

The three Galarian legendary birds are a natural trio, and they sit at 420, 421 and 422 in the reported list. We write that as the order of the numbers and nothing more; the product page does not describe how or whether the trio was intended as a set.
Verified Versus Reported
This is the part that keeps the guide honest. Everything in the first table of this article falls into one of three buckets.
| Statement | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|
| ピカチュウV exists as SI 415/414, illustrated by 5ban Graphics | Official | pokemon-card.com database, id 41011 |
| ザマゼンタV exists as SI 417/414 | Official | pokemon-card.com database, id 41013 |
| The secret run is 415–422 | Reported | PokéWiki |
| The set totals 422 cards | Reported | PokéWiki |
| A 101st deck exists | Reported | PokéWiki |
| 419, 421 and 422 are マリィのプライド, ガラルサンダーV and ガラルファイヤーV | Our listing names, agreeing with the report | Our PSA 10 listings |
| The secret numbers carry any particular rarity | Unknown | The database prints no rarity field |
No pack-by-pack or box-by-box distribution of the secret cards is stated by the official page, and we state none. If a seller quotes a rate or a guarantee for them, treat it as unsourced.
Cards You Should Not Confuse With the Secrets
Start Deck 100 contains base-numbered cards that share names or art themes with other products. These are different cards, listed so the names are not mixed up.
| Card | What it is | Our price |
|---|---|---|
| PSA10 Pikachu [SI 127/414] | A base-numbered Start Deck 100 card, named without the V | Currently listed at ¥13,500 (~$88) |
| PSA10 Pikachu :Mirror [SI 127/414] | The same number in the Mirror version, as our listing names it | Currently listed at ¥8,199 (~$53) |
| PSA10 Galarian Zapdos V SR: SA [S5a 076/070] | A different set, Peerless Fighters (S5a) | Currently listed at ¥21,000 (~$136) |
The Galarian Zapdos V in the S5a row is a separate card from SI 421/414. The names match; the sets, numbers and listing names do not. If you are buying by name, confirm the bracketed set code and number.
How to Tell a Secret Number From a Base Card
The identification rule is the printed fraction. In Start Deck 100 the denominator reads 414, and any numerator above 414 is outside the base run.
- Read the number at the card’s lower edge. A numerator of 415 to 422 puts the card in the reported secret run.
- Check the name against the table above. The pairing of number to name is the identification, and the artwork alone is not.
- For a graded card, match the slab label to the bracketed code in the listing name, such as SI 415/414.
- Do not assume a rarity from the number; the database prints none, and our listing names for these cards carry no rarity letter either.
For how Japanese numbers and denominators work in general, our beginner guide is a starting point, and the guide to Japanese sets for beginners places starter products among the other entry points.
The Later Start Deck 100 Products
The 2021 product was followed by two variants. Each has its own numbering, and none of them reuses 415–422.
| Product | Set code | Release | Official price | Numbering |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| スタートデッキ100 | SI | Friday, December 17, 2021 | ¥790 | Base 001–414; secrets 415–422 (reported) |
| スタートデッキ100 コロコロコミックver. | SN | Application-based, around January 15, 2022 per the official notice | ¥1,711 plus ¥589 shipping and handling | SN 001/024 onward |
| MEGA スタートデッキ100 バトルコレクション | MC | Friday, December 19, 2025 | ¥891 | Base 001–742; high numbers 743–766 (reported) |
The SN version is a separate story and a fixed deck; our CoroCoro Comic ver. Pikachu V guide covers it. Collectors comparing the two generations should also read the 2021 versus 2025 comparison and the regular versus white box guide.
The 2025 product is the one we list sealed: the MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection is currently listed at ¥1,097 (~$7). That is our listing price, and the official price of ¥891 is the manufacturer’s. The 2021 decks themselves are not part of that listing.

The Battle Start Deck Trademark Report
On October 29, 2026 fan sites reported a Japanese trademark filing for 「バトルスタートデッキ」, which collectors read as a possible beginner-deck product; nothing is announced. Our Battle Start Deck trademark guide explains what is confirmed and what is not, and the round-up of the four reported names puts it in context. “Battle Start Deck” is a working English translation; no official English name exists.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the Start Deck 100 secret cards?
They are the numbers printed above the 414 base count in スタートデッキ100 (SI). The official database confirms ピカチュウV 415/414 and ザマゼンタV 417/414. PokéWiki reports the full run as 415 to 422, a total of 422 cards.
Which card is SI 415/414?
It is ピカチュウV, database id 41011, credited to the illustrator 5ban Graphics. We currently list a physical PSA 10 of it at ¥40,588 (~$264).
Is Marnie’s Pride 419/414 a secret card?
PokéWiki lists 419 as マリィのプライド, and our PSA 10 listing name prints SI 419/414. The official database page for this number is not among the entries we verified. We offer it as a PSA 10 back order at ¥36,380 (~$236), sourced to order.
Do the secret numbers have a rarity?
The official database does not print a rarity field, and our listing names for these cards carry no rarity letter, so this guide states none. Treat any rarity claim for them as unsourced unless the seller names a source.
Is the Galarian Zapdos V in Start Deck 100 the same as the S5a card?
No. SI 421/414 is a Start Deck 100 card; the S5a 076/070 listing is a different card from Peerless Fighters. Match the bracketed set code and number before buying.
How do I get a Start Deck 100 card we do not list?
Sourcing requests for a specific number go through Quick Order at samuraiswordtokyo.com/#quick-order. The product page of each listed card shows its current terms.
