What Our Damaged Box Listing Says
A Damaged Box is a separate product with its own page and its own price. It is not an option on the Sealed box page. Since early October 2026 the store lists one Damaged Box per set, and for White Flare there is a regular Damaged Box, a regular No Shrink Damaged Box and a DX Damaged Box. Each Damaged Box page opens with the heading “Damaged Box — Discounted Item” and then explains the reason for the discount in plain words: “It is discounted because of cosmetic damage to the outer box (e.g., dents or scratches). The cards inside are unaffected.”
The same page is direct about photographs: “Photos are samples. The first image shows the regular product so you can identify the set. The condition photos that follow are sample photos of damaged boxes from the same stock and show the typical level of damage. The actual item you receive may differ from the photos.” In practice that means the first picture on the page helps you confirm you are looking at White Flare, while the pictures after it show what damage of this kind typically looks like. They do not show the exact box that will be shipped to you.
The page also describes the damage itself: “Damaged boxes have dents, creases, scuffs, or other cosmetic damage to the outer box. The type and extent of damage vary by item. Photos are samples.” The words “vary by item” matter for a purchase decision. Two Damaged Boxes of the same set can differ from each other, and the listing does not promise a particular kind or amount of damage.
Finally, the terms of sale are short and fixed: “This item is sold as-is. We do not respond to inquiries about this item, and returns and refunds are not accepted.” The Quick Order DAMAGED BOX tab on our home page repeats the same message in three lines: “Damaged boxes have dents, creases, scuffs, or other cosmetic damage to the outer box.” / “The type and extent of damage vary by item. White Flare: Regular Box vs DX Box
The official product page confirms a ¥290 (tax included) MSRP per 7-card pack for the regular box, released June 6, 2025 alongside companion set Black Bolt — together the two sets cover all 156 Pokemon of the Unova regional dex. A separate DX box, 「拡張パックデラックス「ホワイトフレア」」, carries a ¥1,450 (tax included) MSRP for a 35-card pack, released the same day.
Per-box pack counts are not stated on the official page for either version. Retailer and media reporting puts the regular box at 20 packs of 7 cards (140 cards total, with no per-pack Art Rare guarantee), and the DX box at 4 packs of 35 cards (also 140 cards total), with each DX pack reported to guarantee at least one Art Rare. Both versions land on the same total card count through very different packaging.
The set totals 174 cards, confirmed against the official database: a 1–86 base checklist, then a secret-rarity run from 87 to 174 — 88 cards across four tiers: 72 Art Rares (87–158), 8 Super Rares (159–166), 7 Special Art Rares (167–173), and a single card at 174 described as BWR (Black White Rare), the set’s debut monochrome format.
The Damaged Box listings follow the same split. The regular Damaged Box is the damaged-box listing for the regular box, and the DX Damaged Box is the damaged-box listing for the DX box. They are different products with different prices, so check which product page you are on before ordering.

Reading the table from the regular box first: the Sealed box is listed at ¥19,251 (~$125) and the regular Damaged Box at ¥16,951 (~$110), a difference of ¥2,300. The regular No Shrink option on the Sealed product page is listed at ¥18,119 (~$118), which is ¥1,132 below the Sealed price on the same page. The separate No Shrink Damaged Box is listed at ¥17,052 (~$111), ¥1,067 below the regular No Shrink option and ¥101 above the plain Damaged Box.
On the DX side, the DX Sealed box is listed at ¥21,112 (~$137) and the DX Damaged Box at ¥19,488 (~$127), a difference of ¥1,624. The DX No Shrink option is sold out at the time of this update, so there is no DX No Shrink price to compare. A DX box costs more than its regular counterpart in both columns: the DX Sealed box is ¥1,861 above the regular Sealed box, and the DX Damaged Box is ¥2,537 above the regular Damaged Box.
The lowest asking price on SNKRDUNK on September 18, 2026 was ¥20,500 for the regular box and ¥20,799 for the DX variant. No earlier dated SNKRDUNK figure is available for either box. That marketplace observation is a different source and a different date from our October 7 store prices, so it is a reference point and not a like-for-like comparison.
How to Choose Between the Listings
The listings differ in two ways that are written on the pages: the condition of the outer box, and whether the box carries the “No Shrink” label. Everything else about the set, the card pool and the pack format, is the same between a Sealed box and a Damaged Box of the same version. The questions below turn that into a decision.
Does the condition of the outer box matter to you? A Sealed box is a standard listing with no damage note on it. A Damaged Box is discounted because of cosmetic damage to the outer box, and the page says the cards inside are unaffected. If the box will be opened, or if the outer box is not part of what you are buying, the Damaged Box is listed at a lower price. If you want a particular outer-box appearance, the Damaged Box page tells you plainly that the type and extent of damage vary by item and that photos are samples, so it cannot promise one.
Can you accept the terms of sale? The Damaged Box page says the item is sold as-is, that we do not respond to inquiries about it, and that returns and refunds are not accepted. Each of the three Damaged Box listings is a Damaged Box product; read its page for the terms before ordering. If those terms do not work for your order, the Sealed listing is the alternative, and its own product page sets out its own terms.
Regular box or DX box? The regular box and the DX box are different products rather than two grades of the same product. The regular box reportedly holds 20 packs of 7 cards, and the DX box reportedly holds 4 packs of 35 cards, with each DX pack reported to guarantee at least one Art Rare. Choose the format first, and then choose Sealed or Damaged Box inside that format.
Is the No Shrink label important to you? The regular box has a No Shrink option on its Sealed page, listed at ¥18,119 (~$118), and a separate No Shrink Damaged Box listed at ¥17,052 (~$111). The store lists a separate “No Shrink” Damaged Box for some sets, and White Flare is one of them. Compare the plain Damaged Box at ¥16,951 (~$110) with the No Shrink Damaged Box at ¥17,052 (~$111) side by side on their own pages.
A short worked example makes the trade-off concrete. Suppose you plan to buy one regular White Flare box. The Sealed box is listed at ¥19,251 (~$125). The Damaged Box is listed at ¥16,951 (~$110). The ¥2,300 difference is the discount for cosmetic damage to the outer box, and in exchange you accept the as-is terms and the fact that the box you receive may look different from the sample photos. A buyer who wants a standard outer box with no damage note stays with the Sealed listing, while a buyer who is comfortable with the as-is terms can use the Damaged Box listing to lower the cost of the same set.
If you are buying several boxes, the same logic applies to each line of the order. You can place a Sealed box and a Damaged Box in one checkout, and each product keeps its own page, its own price and its own terms. The Chase Cards
Reshiram ex headlines the secret-rarity run, appearing three times, confirmed against the official database: SR 160/086, SAR 168/086 (illustrated by kawayoo), and the set-topping 174/086, described as BWR (Black White Rare) and listed as Ultra Rare on third-party trackers. Hilda (トウコ) appears at SR 166/086 and SAR 173/086 (illustrated by Naoki), and Keldeo ex appears at SR 161/086 and SAR 169/086.
The Hilda SR 166/086 is listed in PSA 10 at ¥12,480 (~$81), while the PSA 10 Reshiram ex SAR 168/086 listing is sold out at the time of this update. The official database credits the Reshiram ex SAR to illustrator kawayoo, and the Hilda SAR at 173/086 to illustrator Naoki.
The cosmetic damage described on the Damaged Box page concerns the outer box, and the page states that the cards inside are unaffected.
