Akira Komayama and Her Pokémon TCG Career

Bulbapedia’s page gives the Japanese name こまやま明 (Komayama Akira), born September 15, 1981. The page credits her first card overall as the BW-P Promotional Pansage and her first English-released cards as Magby and Eevee from the Call of Legends expansion, noting she has contributed to the Pokémon TCG since 2010.

Outside trading cards, the page credits her with contributing animation art to Pokémon Horizons: The Series.

Where 036 Sits in the 30-Pikachu Subset

All thirty Pikachu cards share the same fireworks-style holofoil layer over the full card — PokeBeach’s description of the treatment — and the same basic set-up: different illustrator, different attack text, same general Basic Pokémon slot. The subset opens with card 017/103, 01/30, illustrated by Ken Sugimori, whose piece recreates his own Pikachu artwork from the Jungle expansion. 036/103 sits nineteen cards later in the sequence, at 20/30 — just past the two-thirds mark of the run.
