30th Celebration Pokémon Set Meowth: Complete Guide

30th Celebration Pokémon Set Meowth: Complete Guide

Updated November 5, 2026

The 30th Celebration Pokémon set is M6a, the Japanese expansion pack 「30th CELEBRATION」 released on September 16, 2026. The official pages we checked do not name a Meowth card, so this guide separates what is confirmed from what is not, and shows you how to check the sources before you buy.

Key facts: what is the 30th Celebration set?

The 30th Celebration set is a Japanese-edition anniversary expansion with the set code M6a, and the table below lists the facts we can source. Each sourced row links to the page it comes from.

If you want the sealed box itself, our M6a 30th CELEBRATION Booster Box page lists it as a Japanese-edition sealed booster box with a choice of Sealed or No Shrink.

Is there a Meowth card in the 30th Celebration Pokémon set?

We cannot confirm a Meowth card from the official sources we use, and we will not guess. The official M6a page names its headline cards and a partial list of reprints, and Meowth is not among the names it gives.

Here is exactly what that means. The official M6a page names FUR Mew ex and Mewtwo ex, a group of day-scene illustrated cards, and a list of reprints that ends with “etc.” because the page names only some of the 30 anniversary reprints. Because the reprint list is partial, the absence of Meowth from that list is not proof that no Meowth card exists anywhere in the expansion. It means the sources behind this article do not show one.

That is the position for anyone who arrived here from a search like “30th celebration pokemon set meowth”. We treat any claim of a Meowth card number, rarity or price as unverified until an official source shows it.

The other reading of the keyword is a search for a Meowth product rather than a single card. We have no Meowth-themed product on our pages either: the 30th Celebration products we list are the booster box, the carton, the nine-type Card Set, the FUTURISTIC BOX and the Espeon and Umbreon Premium Deck Set. None is named after Meowth.

What is officially confirmed inside the M6a expansion?

The confirmed contents are a Pikachu-focused anniversary expansion with a new FUR rarity, reprints of older cards, and day-scene illustrated cards. All of the following comes from the official M6a product page unless another link is shown.

Pikachu in every pack. Each pack carries a guaranteed Pikachu card from a lineup of 30 special variants. The page says the 30 Pikachu rare cards are drawn by 30 different illustrators. The English-language announcement on pokemon.com names OKACHEKE, Yuu Nishida and Atsuko Nishida among those illustrators.

FUR, a new rarity. FUR stands for Futuristic Rare. The official page shows it on Mew ex and Mewtwo ex, and pokemon.com says the new Futuristic rare debuts with Mewtwo and Mew illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN.

Anniversary reprints. The page says there are 30 history cards, reprinted in special versions. Named examples include Pikachu, Charizard, Misty (カスミ), エリカのプリン, Sneasel (ニューラ), Shining Celebi, Lugia, Scizor ex, Darkrai and Cresselia LEGEND, Mew VMAX, Arceus VSTAR and Magikarp, plus others. The English announcement adds Charizard from Base Set and Pikachu & Zekrom-GX from Sun & Moon-Team Up. The official page also notes that these anniversary reprints cannot be used in the current Standard regulation, but can be used in any regulation where the original cards are legal.

Day-scene illustrated cards. The official page names Greninja ex, Pikachu ex, Jirachi ex, ストリンダー, シャンデラ, ルガルガン, ズルッグ, サーフゴー, ヒスイ ゾロア, ガマゲロゲ and ブラッキー (Umbreon). We repeat the names as the page prints them and add nothing beyond that list.

The English-language announcement also lists illustration rares for Espeon, Umbreon, Lapras, Drifloon, Zorua and Lycanroc, and new Pokémon ex for Greninja and Sylveon. It says every card is foil, including Basic Energy. It describes the expansion as the first with a simultaneous global release.

What are the key dates for the 30th Celebration line?

The line runs from a February 2026 announcement to an October 30, 2026 English-language deck launch, and the table below puts each dated event in order.

Date Event Source
February 27, 2026 30th anniversary products announced in Pokémon Presents; worldwide launch within 2026 (some regions excepted) pokemon-card.com notice
June 1, 2026 pokemon.com publishes its preview of the 30th Celebration expansion pokemon.com news
June 8, 2026 Pokémon Center Online lottery sales announced pokemon-card.com notice
September 16, 2026 M6a expansion, Premium Deck Set and FUTURISTIC BOX released in Japan official M6a page
October 16, 2026 Card Sets, Collection File Premium and Collection Refill released in Japan official Card Set page
October 30, 2026 English-language Battle Deck (Espeon ex and Umbreon ex) launch pokemon.com product gallery

The February notice also says the Pokémon Trading Card Game turns 30 in October 2026 and that release timing may differ by country or region. That is why the Japanese product dates above should not be assumed to apply to every market.

Which 30th Celebration products exist besides the booster box?

The table below compares four Japanese products in the 30th Celebration line using the official pages. Each has a different purpose.

Product Japan release Official price (tax incl.) What is inside
Expansion Pack 「30th CELEBRATION」 (M6a) Sept 16, 2026 360 yen per pack 6 rare cards per pack; 1 Pikachu and 1 basic energy guaranteed
Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon Sept 16, 2026 6,200 yen Two 60-card decks (Espeon ex, Umbreon ex), 2 coins, paper playmat, tin double deck case
FUTURISTIC BOX Sept 16, 2026 27,500 yen 2 Pikachu ex promos, deck shields, deck case, rubber playmat, dice, markers, display frame; no booster packs
Card Set (9 types) Oct 16, 2026 1,200 yen per set 3 promo cards, 2 M6a packs, 1 paper card stand

Sources: the M6a page lists the related-product prices, the Premium Deck Set page and FUTURISTIC BOX page give contents, and the Card Set page gives the October 16 date. The M6a page also lists two accessories released on October 16: the Collection File Premium (コレクションファイルプレミアム) at 2,420 yen and the Collection Refill (コレクションリフィル) at 700 yen.

The FUTURISTIC BOX is sold through Pokémon Center Online only, according to the official page, which also says it may later be sold at Pokémon Centers and Stores. It lists the following contents: promo Pikachu ex in 2 types (1 each), 2 Pokémon coins, 12 metal damage counter dice, metal poison and burn markers (1 each), a special deck shield set of 64 sleeves, a flip deck case, a special display frame, a special rubber playmat, a flip damage counter case and a flip playmat case. The art is by YOSHIROTTEN and no booster packs are listed.

For comparison, the US-market product named on pokemon.com is a different item: the 30th Celebration Battle Deck line (Espeon ex and Umbreon ex), launching October 30, 2026, with 60 foil cards, a deck box, a playmat and a coin per deck. The product gallery page lists a Victini promo with the Espeon ex deck and a Zeraora promo with the Umbreon ex deck. Do not confuse those English-language decks with the Japanese Premium Deck Set above.

What did the Pokémon Center Online lottery cover?

The Pokémon Center Online lottery announced on June 8, 2026 covered five 30th Celebration products and used My Number Card identity verification. The official notice gives the prices below, all tax included.

Product in the lottery notice Price (tax incl.)
Expansion Pack 「30th CELEBRATION」 BOX 7,200 yen
FUTURISTIC BOX 27,500 yen
Premium Deck Set 6,200 yen
Card Set (9-type set) 10,800 yen
Card Set (single set) 1,200 yen

The notice says most winning slots were reserved for verified people, with details announced from July onward. Our M6a booster box listing says that in Japan the set is sold mainly through lottery allocations that require My Number Card identity verification.

Which 30th Celebration product suits someone hunting a Meowth?

If you are chasing one specific card, none of these products is listed as guaranteeing it, and none of our sources names a Meowth. The right fit depends on what you actually want.

You want to open packs and see what comes. The booster box is the product built for that. The Pokémon Company does not publish per-box pull rates for this set, and the figures circulating online disagree with one another, so we do not quote any.

You want a constructed-deck product. The Premium Deck Set contains two 60-card constructed decks around Espeon ex and Umbreon ex, plus 2 damage counter sheets, 2 coins, a paper playmat, a slide-type tin double deck case, a beginner’s guide (はじめてガイド) and a player’s guide (プレイヤーズガイド). The official page also lists full-illustration cards of Victini, Espeon ex, Zeraora and Umbreon ex, and notes that the same cards appear multiple times because of the constructed format and that some cards are reprints. See our Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon page.

The Espeon and Umbreon Premium Deck Set.

You want promo cards and a fixed lineup of starters. The Card Set series is built around nine starter trios, from Kanto to Paldea. A Meowth is not a starter, so it does not appear in the trio list on the official page.

You want a single card. Buying singles is a different path. Our related guides price individual cards for the Pokémon that are named in the set, for example the Umbreon and Espeon guide and the Sylveon guide.

How do the nine 30th Celebration Card Sets work?

Each Card Set is one starter trio with three promo cards, two M6a packs and a paper card stand, and there are nine sets. The official Card Set page sets the price at 1,200 yen per set with an October 16, 2026 release.

The nine trios, listed in the English names of the starters, are Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle; Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile; Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip; Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup; Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott; Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie; Rowlet, Litten and Popplio; Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble; and Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly. The official page notes that each expansion pack inside holds six randomly inserted cards.

How do you check a card like Meowth against the sources before you buy?

Start with the official product pages, then compare what they name with the product contents. This routine uses only the sources listed in this guide.

  1. Start at the official product page. The M6a page names featured cards. If the Pokémon is not named, treat it as unconfirmed rather than absent, because the reprint list ends with “etc.”.
  2. Match the product to the edition. The Japanese M6a and the English-language products are different items. Our Umbreon 077/103 vs English 091/128 comparison looks at one card in both editions.
  3. Check the product contents. The official pages list what each product holds. Booster packs are random, so a card that is not named on a product page is not something the page promises.
  4. Check the regulation note. The anniversary reprints are not legal in the current Standard regulation, so if you want to play a card, check where its original is legal.

Our own pages do not contain a card entry for a Meowth in M6a, so we do not list one. If an official source names a Meowth later, that is the point at which a Meowth claim becomes usable.

What are the carton and damaged-box options?

Beyond the standard booster box, we list a full carton and several Damaged Box items. Each has its own terms, so read the listing before ordering.

The carton. The M6a carton is one full carton (case) of 12 Japanese M6a booster boxes, shipped as the carton itself and not as 12 individual boxes.

The M6a carton: 12 booster boxes in one case.

Damaged Box items. We list damaged-box versions of the booster box, a No Shrink version, the Card Set bundle, the FUTURISTIC BOX and the Premium Deck Set. The listing for the M6a Booster Box Damaged Box says the box is unopened, still sealed in its shrink wrap, and discounted because of cosmetic damage to the outer box such as dents or scratches. The listing says the cards inside are unaffected. The No Shrink Damaged Box has its factory shrink wrap removed; the inner box remains unopened and contents are factory-original.

The terms are the same across these items: photos are samples, the actual box you receive may differ, the item is sold as-is, and returns and refunds are not accepted. The sample photos below show other damaged boxes and do not show the item you will receive.

Our listings explain why these boxes exist: we buy large volumes of Japanese trading cards daily at our Tokyo warehouse, and boxes that fail inspection for mint condition are separated and offered at a lower price.

How does ordering and shipping from Tokyo work?

Orders ship from our Tokyo warehouse by FedEx with a tracking number, and the two services below are the ones our shipping policy describes.

Item What the policy says
Standard shipping FedEx International Connect Plus with tracking; usually 3-7 business days after dispatch (an estimate, not a guarantee)
Expedited shipping FedEx International Priority with tracking; usually 2-5 business days after dispatch (an estimate, not a guarantee)
Shipping cost Calculated automatically at checkout from your delivery address
Handling time Most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared (an estimate, not a guarantee)
Minimum order No minimum order amount or quantity
Delivery address FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes; provide a physical address

After handoff to FedEx, delivery timing is controlled by the carrier and destination-country authorities. The policy states that customs inspections and import procedures may delay delivery, and that such delays are outside our control.

Payment. Per our payment methods page, all payments are made in Japanese yen. Wise bank transfer is the only method without the 5% payment processing fee. PayPal and credit or debit cards (through PayPal; Visa, Mastercard, American Express and JCB, with availability decided by PayPal) carry the 5% fee. PayPal Pay Later is offered and operated by PayPal, and availability is not guaranteed.

Pre-order items and timing. Several 30th Celebration listings say they ship once all existing pre-orders have been shipped. The policy adds that delivery estimates do not include pre-order release timing or supplier allocation delays, and that dispatch can take longer when stock changes. If dispatch is delayed, we email the revised estimate as soon as practical.

How does 30th Celebration compare with the English-language releases?

The Japanese expansion and the English-language products are different items with different contents. The Japanese M6a came out September 16, 2026 as a simultaneous worldwide release, while the English-language lineup includes separate products on their own dates.

Our related comparison articles cover those side by side: the Pokémon Center English dates versus Japan, the Binder Collection versus the M6a box, the Ditto Premium Collection versus Japan and the official announcements timeline. If a Meowth appears in an English-language product, those comparisons are where it would be mapped to the Japanese set, but only once an official source shows it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a Meowth card in the 30th Celebration Pokémon set?

The official pages we cite do not name one. The reprint list on the M6a page ends with “etc.”, so we can neither confirm nor rule out a Meowth.

What is the set code for 30th Celebration?

The expansion pack code is M6a. It is the Japanese Pokémon Card Game MEGA Expansion Pack 「30th CELEBRATION」, released September 16, 2026.

How many cards are in each 30th Celebration pack?

Each pack holds six rare (キラ) cards in random insertion, per the official page. One is a guaranteed Pikachu from 30 variants and one is a basic energy card.

Does every pack contain a Pikachu?

Yes. Each pack is guaranteed one of 30 special Pikachu cards, drawn by 30 illustrators, according to the official M6a page.

Are the 30th Celebration reprints legal to play?

The official page says the anniversary reprints cannot be used in the current Standard regulation. They can be used in any regulation where the original cards are legal.

Do you publish pull rates for the booster box?

No. The Pokémon Company does not publish per-box pull rates for this set, and online figures disagree, so we quote none.

Can I return a Damaged Box item?

No. Our Damaged Box listings are sold as-is, and returns and refunds are not accepted.

How long does shipping take?

FedEx International Connect Plus usually takes 3-7 business days after dispatch and International Priority usually 2-5. These are estimates, not guarantees, and handling time is separate.

Where should you go next?

If you are still chasing a Meowth, wait for an official source that names one, then compare it against the product contents above. If you want cards the sources do name, start with our guides on Greninja, Sylveon and Umbreon, or look at the sealed products directly: the booster box, the FUTURISTIC BOX and the nine-type Card Set.
